You don’t need to buy expensive software neither do you have to buy tutorials to make header graphics.
I have seen people selling tutorials on how to use gimp for 97 dollars! Well the fact is that you can find this for free.
Simply download Gimp which is a free image editor.
Then head on over to these free gimp tutorials that teach you how to make header graphics.
Yay! You just learned how to make header images and customize as many websites or blogs as you want.
You can also use these tutorials to add words to images or backgrounds to decorate pages in your website.
Paul Smithson creator of Xsitepro just launched a free header creation tool that you can download here
Check these resources out- you won’t regret it!

Hi Eren
I’m building my new niche site and have been using all sorts of tools and graphics in the past. I thought I’d try something different and just browsed a long tail search term and up came your blog with a link to XHeader. What a great tool – and best of all, it’s free!
So, thank you for the lead.
The XHeader range of headers are ideal for all of my niche sites that I’m planning, which are in the area of sustainable living and climate change education.
Thanks again, and best wishes …

Thanks for the great tips and links on getting started with headers. I’ve yet to host a site, still anxious about finding the right niche and making it work. Are there any tools/advice for jittery newbies like me ?

Hi Varun-
The best thing is to get the right hosting service- I use Hostgator- and blog on your own domain name. Use wordpress because it’s the best content management system out there.
Also join places where other webmasters help each other out with great advice- Self Starters Weekly Tips has been where I got a whole bunch of help. It’s run by Lynn Terry from Clicknewz.com.
Here’s a link to the forum:

Also for SEO I recommend Roy Montero- he really knows SEO.

Hope that helps,

We’ve been using Xsitepro for quite some time; it is our primary tool for creating websites and salespages. Among the many benefits are very quick and very easy sales page and website generation, automatic SEO that actually works well, push-button features like inserting scripts, and easy management of all our sites.
